'RSG' progress report

Work on 55 022 'Royal Scots Grey' continues to progress at Barrow Hill under the contract with DPS Commercial Services.

The re-skinning of both the outer and inner body sides is now complete.

The contractors overhauling the defective generator, hope to have it completed soon for return to Barrow Hill.

In addition to the previously announced railtours, 55 022 is scheduled to operate a tour on Bank Holiday Monday, August 28, between Reading and Birmingham New Street, travelling in both directions via Swindon and Gloucester. This train will continue from Birmingham to Aberwystwyth with the Class 40 Preservation Societyıs 40 145. 55 022 is also due to appear at the East Lancashire Railwayıs Diesel Gala July 5-9; diesel weekend September

1-3 and English Electric day on November 11.
